Integrating DocuSign

Capabilities

Cyera's DocuSign integration provides the following capabilities:

Before You Start

To successfully configure this integration, please ensure you have sufficient privileges:

  • DocuSign User Role: Admin

Get DocuSign Account ID

  1. Log in to DocuSign.
  2. In the top left, select the menu icon.
  3. Select eSignature.
  4. Select Settings from the top menu.
  5. Under Integrations, select Apps and Keys.
  6. Copy the API Account ID and store it in a secure, temporary location.

Connect to Cyera

  1. In Cyera, navigate to Integrations and select Configure New Integration to search for DocuSign.
  2. Enter the API Account ID, and select the Account Type.
  3. Select Login to Configure.
  4. Log in to DocuSign if prompted and authorize the necessary permissions to Cyera:
Required OAuth Scopes
  • openid
  • signature
  • impersonation
  • extended

Troubleshooting

If you are unable to successfully connect the integration, review these common troubleshooting steps:

Ensure Required Permissions Are Granted on API Keys/Resources

Cyera checks required permissions and scopes on API keys/resources used by each integration. If all necessary permissions are not granted, new connections will fail.

Review Required Account Types and User Roles

If users do not have the necessary permissions or the minimum required user role in the connecting system, the connection to Cyera will fail. Additionally, connections will fail if your account type does not match the one required by the integration.

The DocuSign integration uses the eSignature REST API v2.1:

Rate Limiting- 800 requests / hour
- 23,500 requests / day
